General Conditions of Sale for Sophie's Ball

Dear customer,

You are now on the threshold of these General Conditions of Sale, drawn up with all the courtesy and rigor of a renowned house.
Like contracts signed with a careful pen under the watchful eye of a royal notary, this document sets out the terms of our exchanges: orders, deadlines, payments, rights and responsibilities.

Each item is clearly stated, respecting our commitments and your trust. Because in our boutique, as in any refined salon, the pairings must be clear, loyal, and imbued with elegance.

We invite you to read it with all the attention that a mutual commitment deserves - and to contact us without reservation if any point remains unclear.

Article I — Scope of Application

These General Terms govern, with all due courtesy, the sales carried out by Le Bal de Sophie on its official website as well as in its secondary salon, Etsy.
Any order placed implies full acceptance of these terms without reservation.

Article II — Our Creations (or, the Wonders of our House)

The items offered (costumes, historical undergarments, hats, fans, and other fineries) are handcrafted, with respect for noble fabrics and the savoir-faire of times past.
Each piece is unique; slight variations may occur — charming proof of the artisan’s hand.

Article III — Orders & Confirmation

Placing an order is done online, much like an exchange of tender billets-doux between two consenting parties.
Once submitted and payment confirmed, you will receive a confirmation letter (email).
This validation seals our mutual engagement.

Article IV — Prices & Ducats

Prices are indicated in euros, taxes included. They reflect the artistry, the carefully chosen materials, and the time dedicated to each creation.
Le Bal de Sophie reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but the applicable rate will always be that in effect at the moment of your order.

Article V — Lead Times & Shipping

Lead times for creation are specified at the time of each order.
Every piece is dispatched with care, like a precious missive, in protective packaging.
All shipments are insured and tracked.
Postal delays, alas, are beyond my control and cannot be held against me.

Article VI — Payment

Payments are accepted by credit card or through secure providers (Etsy Payments, Stripe, PayPal…).
Orders will only be processed after full payment has been received.

Article VII — Right of Withdrawal & Returns

In accordance with trade practices and the French Commercial Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the client’s specifications or clearly personalised.
However, in the event of an obvious defect or an error on my part, the House commits to finding an amicable and swift solution.

Any confidences shared during the order process are treated with the utmost discretion.

Article IX — Disputes & Mediation

In the unlikely event of a dispute (which we hope to avoid with every diplomatic effort), you may contact our customer service for a peaceful resolution.
Failing agreement, consumer mediation is available.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law.
