✨ A gown for intrigue, scheming… or simply shining.
Inspired by the robes à l’anglaise of the late 18th century, this ensemble combines the grace of light cotton with the discreet nobility of brocade. Its fluid line embraces the figure and can be drawn up à la polonaise, revealing the carefully composed folds of an elegant drape.
It consists of two separate pieces:
– An underskirt with brocade panel
– An overdress, open at the front, in cotton
– A removable stomacher in brocade, fastened with invisible press studs (or customised the historical way with pins — in which case, wearing stays is highly recommended!)
The sleeves are trimmed with fine lace, held in place by dainty satin bows.
A refined silhouette, slightly theatrical, but always full of panache.
